Capital Program

A major renovation of 1290 Avenue of the Americas secures the tower’s legacy as one of the New York City’s preeminent business addresses. Completed in 1964 and designed by the architectural firm Emery Roth & Sons, it was acquired by Vornado Realty Trust in 2007. Mindful of the historical significance of the structure and the storied companies that continue to occupy it, the firm entrusted its renovation to respected architects Moed de Armas & Shannon. Known for their meticulous rehabilitation of various commercial properties, they preserved the tower’s elegance while upgrading its infrastructure as well as enhancing its aesthetics. These capital improvements create an environment of exceptional quality that offers tenants and visitors an unique experience that exceeds all expectations.
